I like plain oatmeal just the way it is, so if the almond milk is for the flavour, then plain old cow's milk should be fine right? I was thinking of adding some nutmeg and cinnamon to make something like an eggnog flavour, maybe with some artificial rum extract. I generally do coconut/walnut/chia with almond milk and steel cut oats.
